Cartea este bine structurată, cu capitole dedicate supraviețuirii în diferite zone/forme de relief. Presupune însă pregătirea prealabilă a tot echipamentului necesar, deci nu primează genul de scenariu de supraviețuire unde ar trebui să te descurci pe teren cu un minim de ustensile la dispoziție. Ca manual de supraviețuire bineînțeles nu poate fi la nivelul la SAS Survival Handbook, dar este totuși o adiție utilă în grupul cărților pe această temă, mai ales datorită numeroaselor sale ilustrații.
