Gardner, Mike: - "Mike Gardner is a retired journalist, who has written three other books - two authorised biographies of rugby league internationals and a golf psychology book in partnership with Doctor John Pates PhD, MPhil, BA (Hons). Mike has won a host of national awards for creative writing including the prestigious UK Press Gazette award for sports reporting. He was the Features Editor at the North West Evening Mail and the Sports Editor at the award-winning Cumberland News. Mike lives in southern Spain with his wife Lesley. They have two grown-up children and two grandchildren."
