To this end, Goswami has developed a new paradigm quantum biology that integrates Darwin's gene-based evolution theory with Lamarck's development-based evolution theory (evo-devo).

According to quantum biology, humanity broke free from the shackles of animalhood and became part animal-part human some 70000 years ago via the process of self-domestication. This process continued and humans developed the capacity of altruism and love and produced a golden age that was mythologized as Eden.
