It seems that more and more people are stressed these days. We have so many technological advances than those who have come before us, but we seem less in control and in management of our lives. A very basic need for all of us as Christians is the need to sit still-to simply learn to sit still with God and grow to know Him intimately. We need to learn that in sitting with our heavenly Father that He identifies Himself and speaks to us, allowing us to get to know Him more personally and to become acquainted with Him. It is in this kind of fellowship with Father that we begin to see the need to be still and quiet before Him and grow to enjoy the great benefits of such a relationship. The more we grow to know Him, the quieter our minds and hearts will become.
