Noye, Debra: - Having grown up on a dairy farm in rural western Perry County, Pennsylvania, Debra Kay (Freeman) Noye, knows firsthand what it is like to work hard on a daily basis. The sacrifices one makes to be a farmer, to preserve the family farms in Perry County, and to document the special way of life as a Perry Countian, is why Debby wrote The Treasure's in Great-Granny's Scrapbook, the sequel City Cousins Spend the Summer and compiled the stories for Cherished Memories. Debby realized early on, that Perry County's uniqueness was not being fully portrayed and the history of the farmers, craftsmen, and artisans needed and deserved to be told, so that the youth could understand. Real-life stories, from the mouths and pens, of Perry Countians, fill the pages of Cherished Memories, leaving behind a true legacy for future generations!
