Wickerson, Karen: - "Karen Wickerson was raised with hamsters and fish due to family allergies to cats and dogs. At three years old, she rode a horse for the first time at a birthday party on a farm. The connection she felt with the horse was instant-as if she were "home"-sparking a deep love for all horses.When her family adopted three cats, Karen began seeing energy as well-like heat waves on a sunny road-and kept an open mind when she began receiving mental (telepathic) communications from animals. In 2003 Karen completed her Master of Arts degree, specializing in Applied Behavioural Science, from the Leadership Institute of Seattle at Bastyr University to train as a Registered Clinical Counsellor in British Columbia. Over the following 11 years Karen's career involved everything from working with families who needed extra support, to very difficult family preservation and reunification work.During her last two years as a Clinical Counsellor, Karen began taking Healing Touch for Animals (HTA) classes and quickly understood that working with animals was always her true calling. She began transitioning out of clinical counselling. She intensified her studies, taking the highest accreditation they offered, and became a Certified HTA Practitioner. In 2015 she hung up her Clinical Counsellor hat for her higher calling - making a difference in animals and their human family's lives.Now in her 11th year as an Animal Telepath and HTA Practitioner, Karen has helped hundreds of animals worldwide.Karen has communicated with a wide range of animal species, including: horses, cats, dogs, lamas, donkeys, fish, rats, peacocks, chickens, goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits, geckos, bearded dragons, and even a bald python named Lemonade. Each species has its own unique personalities, from wise and serious to playful pranksters. Today, Karen dedicates her life to giving animals a voice, improving their lives, and enhancing the bond between animals and their humans."
