in general vorbind, manualele de latina de liceu din anii ,60 - nu cele de acum, erau cu mult mai bune. La fel manualul de latina al lui Comenius, din sec al XVII-lea, Orbis pctus. Un incepator nu se descurca cu manualul englez, are nevoie de un profesor sau sa aiba ceva cunostinte anterioare de latina. Este adevarat, se acorda ceva mai multa atentie unor structuri gramaticale specifice. Exista de asemenea, o parte a unor expresii latinesti, impreuna cu corespondentul lor in englea. dar nu sunt explicate, structurile sintactice in cele doua limbi fiind foarte diferite, trebuie sa le inveti ca atare, pe dinafara. Evident,in limba engleza. probabil, un profesor de latina ar gasi ceva sugestii in primer, dar un elev, nu. Nu ma bucur ca l-am cumparat, dimpotriva.
