Siski Kalla. La ilustración le atrajo por primera vez cuando empezó a leer libros ilustrados con su primer hijo. Quería ver si era capaz de crear imágenes que hicieran que los demás se sintieran tan bien como ella se sentía cuando veía las preciosas imágenes de los libros infantiles. Pronto se dio cuenta de que no podía. Pero no se rindió... Siguió adelante, obstinadamente, y fue mejorando, hasta que por fin empezó a sentir el mismo asombro al producir cuadros que cuando veía el trabajo de los demás. Por suerte para ella, muchos otros sentían lo mismo.

Siski Kalla first became drawn to illustration when she started reading picture books with her first child. She wanted to see if she could create images that made others feel as good as she did when she saw the beautiful artwork in children's books. She soon realized that she couldn't--at least, not at first. But she didn't give up... She kept going, stubbornly, and improved little by little until she finally began to feel the same awe in creating her own illustrations as she did when admiring the work of others. Luckily for her, many others felt the same way.
