The children's books "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and its sequel, "Through the Looking-Glass," are among Carroll's best-known works. Carroll was not just a gifted writer but also a gifted mathematician, logician, and photographer. He spent several years teaching mathematics at Christ Church, Oxford, where he was a fellow.
