Giving Thanks: Autumn Celebrations around the World is a children's picture book for ages 3 - 9. The story is narrated by a friendly bee who flies around the world to visit 11 autumn festivals on six different continents. The autumn celebrations are the Yam Festival, Mabon, Sukkot, Mehregan, Karma, MidAutumn Festival, Chuseok, Apple and Grape Harvest Festival, Pawkar Raymi, Green Corn Ceremony, and Thanksgiving. At the end of the story there are recipes and meal suggestions using harvest foods from the celebrations. There are also activities, a map of the world, a pronunciation guide, and a glossary. There are 14 color illustrations. In addition, harvest foods pollinated by bees and the pollination process are described.
