Monod-Gayraud, Agnes: - Agnes Monod-Gayraud is a translator and author of children's books, with a focus on non-fiction titles. Winner of the 2016 Best Scientific Writing Award from the UK's Society of Authors for The Book of Bees, published in by Thames and Hudson and Abrams Books (as Bees: A Honeyed History). Language editor for the Astronomy & Astrophysics academic journal, based at the Paris Observatory. Holds a B.A. in Comparative Literature from New York University and an M.A. in American Cultural Studies from the University of Warsaw. A native New Yorker, she currently lives with her family in London and is writing her first children's book, also slated for publication in 2024.
