Roth, Ulrike: - Ulrike Roth is Reader in Ancient History at the University of Edinburgh. Her chief research interest lies in the study of Roman slavery. She is the author of Thinking Tools. Agricultural Slavery between Evidence and Models (2007), and multiple articles and book chapters on diverse aspects of slavery from the ancient to the early medieval world. She is also the series editor of EUP's Edinburgh Studies in Ancient Slavery. Beyond slavery, she has researched and published on aspects of Roman republican history, Roman historiography as well as Italic and Latin epigraphy.
