In this completely revised and updated second edition, the intention to help the student acquire good pronunciation and provide all the tools to gain an understanding of the production and organization of Spanish sounds has not changed at all. Busch and Dabkowski have continued to utilize the late Tom Lathrop's philosophy and guiding principle: unnecessarily complicated linguistic descriptions and terminology are left out; instead, a useful and simple-yet comprehensive-guide to Spanish phonetics and phonemics is provided.
