Several months after the London season comes to an end, Anabel and Lord St Germain are once more thrust together at a house party he's hosting, very much against his will.

For him, the party is a burden-another responsibility set upon his shoulders, never mind he hasn't visited the house in twenty years because it's haunted. Almost as soon as he arrives, he hears things that go bump in the night and objects begin to disappear from guests' rooms.
