A native New Yorker living deep in the heart of Texas, Julie can remember writing her first "early romances" at age 5 or 6, and then hiding the pages, so that no one would find them. In college, where her focus was creative writing, she was forced to share her work, much to the chagrin of her male classmates, who were then obligated to read and critique romance on a weekly basis. Post-graduation, Julie started writing another kind of fiction pursuing a corporate career that entailed copywriting, creating marketing materials and writing ads for Fortune 500 companies and non-profit organizations. An avid nature photographer with insatiable wanderlust, Julie prefers traveling backroads and blue highways in search of finding picturesque treasures and roadside cafés. Known for detailed writing that makes readers feel like they are right there in the scene, her love of learning can be witnessed by the amount of research Julie does for her books. A lover of animals and anything space-related, Julie is a self-proclaimed map geek, uber-serious Bruce Springsteen fan and a dedicated foodie.
