East Texas private detective Sam Lawson is in a race against time when his fiancé, Carla Davenport, is abducted by a notorious serial killer bent on revenge.

Taunting Sam and the FBI, the killer reveals the exact time he will murder Carla. Sam watches helplessly as the FBI heads off on what he knows is a wild goose chase.
