Tanja Tuma was born in former Yugoslavia and lives in Slovenia. In college, she studied French, English, and German literature, which propelled her writing and editing career. She founded her own publishing company and worked in publishing for more than twenty years. Since 2011, Tanja has been writing historical fiction. Her debut novel Winds of Dalmatia was published in 2013. Red and White Cherries is her second book, a packing novel about the terrible consequences of the Slovenian Civil War (1941-1945).
