Dov Hoenig was born in 1932 in Romania. He is best known as an American film editor, and was nominated at the 66th Academy Awards in the category of Best Film Editing for The Fugitive. In addition, Hoenig was recognized for his editing on films such as Thief, The Last of the Mohicans, Manhunter, Heat, The Crow, Overboard, A Perfect Murder, Under Siege and Collateral Damage. He is a member of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Motion Picture Editors Guild and American Cinema Editors. His career as a writer began at the age of 86 with his debut novel, Rue du Triomphe. First published in French, it was chosen as one of the 10 best first novels by the jury of the Prix Stanislas and has also subsequently been published in translation in Israel and Romania.Dov Hoenig was born in 1932 in Romania.
