George Orwell (Motihari, 1903 - Londres, 1950), sobrenombre de Eric Arthur Blair, fue un escritor y periodista británico. He cultivated almost all genres of the written word, developing everything from journalistic chronicles to essays, short stories and novels. His best-known works, coups of authority in the face of the threat of totalitarianism, are 1984 and Animal Farm, classics prescribed reading for the youth of the world.
