Robinson, Karen Machelle: - Karen Robinson is a first-time creator of the "Special Programs Teacher Planner". She worked with special needs individuals for 15+ years in Texas. Currently a special education teacher in Dallas, Texas, she was inspired by her daily tasks of teaching her special needs students. Attending annual meetings, scheduling parent conferences, completing documentations, accessing data, and collaborating with general education teachers, Karen understood the concerns and responsibilities that came along with her job duties. She also understands that many special needs students who require special programs teachers have been overlooked or were never appropriately cared for from an educational perspective, and when a good educator takes the time to do this, students are often grateful for their time, care, and patience. Her hope is that the planner will help fellow special programs educators around the world with their daily tasks while teaching such wonderfully precious individuals.
