Kadish, Joanna: - Joanna Kadish edited newsletters on finance for Grant Thornton and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants before her children were born. After that, she became a freelance contributor for the New Jersey Regional Section of The New York Times, and several regional newspapers and magazines, including The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Asbury Park Press, Seattle Magazine, and Seattle Business Magazine, among other publications. She published stories and essays in numerous literary magazines and won first place in Adelaide Literary Award 2019 Contest, and she was a finalist in the creative nonfiction category in the Spring 2019 Pinch Literary Awards, as well as a finalist in the Black Coffee & Vinyl Presents: Ice Cultures project, summer of 2018, and Cutthroat 2023 and 2016 Rick DeMarinis Short Fiction Contest. She has written a novel, Charting a Marriage. She has an MFA in creative writing from Bennington Writing Seminars in Vermont and an undergraduate degree in literature and philosophy from UC Berkeley.
