Desenele au că temă exclusiv corpul uman. Impresionează printr-o excepțională expresivitate și siguranță a liniei și printr-un echilibru compozițional desăvârșit, aspecte care sunt poate "mai vizibile", ies mai bine în evidență, în desene, chiar și în cele doar schițate (poate tocmai în ele) decât în tablourile finalizate în care imaginea are mai multe elemente componente. Este uimitor cum o structură aparent simplă, din linii curbe, este capabilă să sugereze esența unei stări sufletești, esența unui personaj! - o călătorie de explorare a intimității ființei umane.
