Teresa Hsu, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist, and founder and executive director of SPEAK (a Supportive Place for Empowering Asian Americans and Kin, www.connecttospeak.org)--a nonprofit organization committed to the mental health and wellness of Asian Americans through education, research, and services. Hsu has a dual appointment as assistant professor of the department of psychiatry behavioral sciences, and the department of academic general pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. As a former assistant director of the Behavioral Health Integration Program at Montefiore Medical Center, she helped establish one of the largest integrated pediatric primary care programs in the nation. She has a BA in psychology and piano performance from Northwestern University, and a PhD in clinical psychology from The George Washington University. She lives near New York, NY.
