Heawood, Sophie: - Sophie Heawood was born and raised in Yorkshire, where she never quite mastered the accent. She studied Spanish and Portuguese at university, where she also never quite mastered the accents, and dropped out of her degree to work on the door of nightclubs. Her parents were thrilled. She now lives in Hackney, East London, with her daughter and their dog. Sophie has written for many publications including The Times, Guardian, Observer and Vogue.
